Sample Datapoint

A datapoint is a value for a metric.

Each datapoint is a folder with:

  • descriptions:
    • info.yaml
    • readme.md

The name of the folder is the name of the metric for which this datapoint has a value.

Explain the reasoning for the value of the datapoint.

info.yaml

Minimalistic:

value: {This is the main value, e.g. the United Federation of Planets has 150 planets in 2373}
min: {A lower limit for the value, because values are never exact. One standard deviation, e.g. the United Federation of Planets might have only 120 planets in 2373}
max: {An upper limit for the value, because values are never exact. One standard deviation, e.g. the United Federation of Planets might have even 180 planets in 2373}
confidence: {Confidence label. How confident are you as a label, not a number. Allowed values: canon, calculated, informedGuess, calculatedGuess, wildGuess}
references:
    - link: {Link to the source. Values must be documented and "proven" by references}
      text: {Link text}

Techlevel

Value: 9
Confidence: WildGuess

TL 9 FTL. Sample civilization estimated as early interstellar (date 2550). Assumed basic FTL capability based on Class 9 rating.

Class

Value: 9
Confidence: WildGuess

Sample civilization, estimated as early interstellar based on date of 2550. Class 9 Interstellar Pocket.

Sample Civilization

A civilization is a fraction of a Universe. It may be the entire galaxy or just a single species in a certain year.

A civilization contains datapoints each with their own description.

Each civilization is a folder with:

The name of the folder becomes the name of the universe.

Write something about the civilization.
